What an absolutely lovely woman, I love her attitude to life and her amazing bathroom. x

  • Betty Chickens

I LOVE Brix, and not just because she is a blonde pugmama. She is just a brilliantly positive example of my generation and how age doesn’t have to diminish you.

    • http://www.facebook.com/ali.nightingale Ali Nightingale

That’s why I admire her so much Betty, my generation too, and the refreshing lust for life that I strive to embrace every day.

    • Debra Brock

Agreed – she looks amazing and is so upbeat. Also I want her bathroom, badly.

  • Fi Nightingale

Loved Brix since the eighties. Awesome woman.

Nice lady. Not too much hassley stuff either. (She looks really wee!)

  • Nicola Rossall

she’s one of my favourite women. I love her world view.

I have had the biggest girl crush on Brix for years. I adore her even more now that I have seen this; probably my favourite of all the videos so far. And she’s totally passionate about the products that we love. Adore to the power of ten. Can we have more Brix please ?

  • Jo Candice Marie

Hello – is there a list of the items that you talk about? Specifically the Estee Lauder ‘Day Wear’ and ‘Perfection’ products. Great bathroom vid – loving this series x

    • http://twitter.com/salihughes Sali Hughes

We’ll get onto it, but the Day Wear UV products is in today’s Guardian column. Sx

      • http://twitter.com/salihughes Sali Hughes

        Product not products. Butter fingers.

        • Jo Candice Marie

          thank you, ace x

          • Debra Brock

            Finally done – phew!

    • Lou Bogart

I assume the ‘perfection’ product is Estee Lauder’s Perfectionist CP+R serum. I love it.

  • Heidi Cull

OMG I LOVE IT !! Brix + Beauty ftw !!

  • pprose

Amazing video – the best one in the series so far! Brix is so engaging, I love her personality and philosophy on life! Sali’s face looks gorgeous in this video too!

  • Heidi Cull

also, so inspiring that she takes care of herself so well.

  • http://www.facebook.com/nicola.ridingswatson Nicola Ridings Watson

Love Love Love. I could have watched another half hour. I want to see the rest of her house too.

  • Victoria Wildman

Amazing and we didn’t even get to the perfume!

  • Rooty Tooty

How can you not love a woman who fits the word ‘vagina’ into a sentence every day? She seems like such fun. I love it when my positive suspicions about someone are confirmed like this.

  • http://www.boutiquearomatique.com/ Shelly Preston

She’s soooo delicious. This is soooo good

  • Sherry Trifle

I love this Sali. Great interview, deep conversation, gorgeous products and bathroom suite. My favourite

  • Cuntpuffin

Omg she’s amazing! So inspiring. And her skin looks really good. Thank god for someone who finally admits to botox.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jane.porter.7 Jane Porter

Well I think Brix must be my better looking, slightly older sister.! I love her and the fact that she says she is happy! I’m a pretty optimistic person but some people take it to mean that I’m unfeeling or not anguished enough. I prefer to think that I know how lucky I am. Bizarrely I was beginning to think of Botox in my pug snout area this week.
I think I may have a girl crush!

  • Danielle

Sali, can you tell us more about the UK Bioderma launch? I’m addicted to Crealine for removing my clients makeup and my own eye makeup, but it’s so expensive and difficult to get.

    • Debra @ salihughesbeauty

Hi Danielle – it’s popping up in pharmacies in the UK now but also available online at http://www.escentual,com

      • Danielle

        Thanks!

  • Kate Kitchendisco

    Bloody love Brix

  • StavRuler

    She does not look 50!!!

  • katycoo

once more bloody love watching two people wang on about make up in a bathroom, it’s oddly relaxing yet informative. you both look lush too.

  • heather

what was the brand of mineral foundation? it looked so nice.

  • Beklet

    Her happiness is so infectious!

  • http://www.facebook.com/lara.thompson.5209 Lara Thompson

Great fun and really informative. Toronto salgs, are you onto this amazing mineral foundation? Want!

    • Violet Beauregard

On it Lara! Will let you know how I get on. xx

  • Bekahbea

This was so great to watch. The warmth between you two was palpable. And Brix is utterly Fabulous at Fifty. Brilliant role model.

  • Jackie Gunner

I enjoyed this so much. Best one yet. Has anyone managed to find that foundation? I know I can’t be the only one searching the internet for it, and wishing I had some Canadian friends. 😉

    • Violet Beauregard

Jackie, I think Gee only sells in-store. They sell some stuff on eLuxe.ca, but not this product. Am going to get a sample this weekend and report back! xx

      • Jackie Gunner

I’m glad to hear that someone’s on the case VB. Do let us know what you think. xx

  • Violet Beauregard

Loved this! She has such a positive attitude and is brimming over with enthusiasm and joie de vivre. And you can see the results in her glowing skin.

  • Steffi Gtl

Absolutely hated her on that Gok Wan show (hated the show in fact – I WATCH STUFF I HATE BECAUSE I’M A MISERABLE COW) but i actually enjoyed this. Great chemistry, great interview. I did shudder at the detox bit but you know I’M A MISERABLE NEGATIVE COW. Nonetheless thanks for the videos! It looks so effortless which probably means it involves a lot of work and i really appreciate it.

  • Beanie O’D

I love her. I think this might be my favourite video yet.

  • Anne

Brilliant video. Do you have the products list somewhere? there are a couple of things I would like to buy, especially the small yellow bottle for the bath :) Thank you

    • Beens

The bottles are called Soul Tonics by a brand called Zephorium :)

      • Debra Brock

        I’ve just linked the products.

  • Allegra1952

    Love love love!
